Really like the settings for my simagic👌🏻 alpha. Was searching for good setting. Can u tell me how you have managed to work the rev lights on Forza motorsport ?
Glad you like it. I set them at 95% for redline. You will notice some cars do not quite redline on the wheel. They even struggle to redline anyway. So when you switch to say a lighter flywheel will allow the engine to redline easier. Not sure if this is your issue, but this came to mind. Have fun!
@@TJRSIM thanks for your reply. When I’m driving in Forza motorsport the rpm lights on the simagic gt neo steeringwheel doesn’t seem to work. I thought maybe it’s just a settings that is wrong?
@A_Pragt_NL Yes there is. So in SimPro manager go to games, click on Forza Motorsport then the tab Telemetry in that game. You will see instructions to add the UDP code to the Forza Motorsports game. You add this code under settings and hub view. That will get you going then. 👍
@@TJRSIM I’ve must have been something wrong. Entered the code from simpro manager in the game hud but nothing happens 🤷🏻♂️either way thanks for your support. I will look deeper into it again
@A_Pragt_NL your welcome
We have it mounted on a GT Omega ART cockpit with all 3 bolts, we did not have to drill the deck plate, it had factory holes for all 3 holes. Also after the last GT7 update, force feedback has increased by a lot.
Great to hear. Yeap I tried it out again after last 1.49 update. The FFB is much better now.
Yes, I got a small book light that clips on a book for. my wheel to see the back lit lights clip it off on a shelf next to my Playstation so I can see my wheel
I'm 61 year old man, and I don't understand the problem with you guys. Say, this wheels not powerful enough. I never have gone above seven nanometers. I can't go any higher. Just wears me out.
Which elastomer setup did you use for the pedals? Was it the red, beige, small brown top?
Hello. I ended up running beige hardest sponge the yellow and brown. Gave me the best feel I could find for my liking. Thanks for watching
@@TJRSIM thanks I’ll try that
Hello It is not mandatory to put threadlockers loctite ?
@@marc_cp71 I always use blue thread lock. These are small bolts so don’t want to strip them when you have to remove when using red thread lock
I’ll actually be able to get my hands on this wheel and pedal setup here in about 2 weeks finally! This will be my first time on a steering wheel setup and new to all this sim racing. I have noticed that this wheel is about the same as most or all of the reviews I’ve watched for about a year now. It’s been a hard choice to decide but I’ve made up my mind. Good review. 👍
Thanks for the kind comments. Have fun ! If you want console compatibility + PC this is a great choice IMO.
@@TJRSIM Great, I hope I am able to get the right settings and get adjusted to the new way of racing for me. Tomorrow will be the most likely purchase date.
On the backlit buttons- I wished Logitech would allowed two diff versions of their future wheels. I hope they would also have a non backlit version for available at a cheaper prices. I don't need the extra visual since I'm on vr
@@rarityd yeah that makes since. I doubt they would make two versions though just from a manufacturing standpoint. LEDs are cheap anyway. I just wish they would release a new gt wheel👍
what they need is ffb eq which moza have it❤
Yeah I was thinking that would be cool as well. To sort out what you really want to feel more of. 👍 Just gives people choices to work the FFB to their liking.
I thought i had things dialed in, but i was wrong. These settings are very good. I think i had like 10 in road effects same as another poster, but that with these settings feel fantastic. Thanks for the work you put into this.
Great to hear! Glad I could help. 👍
Another way to make this feel better is buy the newly released upgrade spring and elastomer kit for the p1000 hydraulic version. And use a spring and some elastomer. I will do a video on my channel how I did it.
Great tip!. I didn’t think of that. This will be interesting. BTW do you have P1000 or P2000 pedals and why you choose one over the other. I’m leaning to P2000 myself but curious. Thanks
@@TJRSIM I got the p1000 with 3 haptics and inverted on a simlabs inverted mount and hydraulic brake upgrade with spring upgrade kit. I love them i highly recommend them. Only upgrade I didn’t like was the hydraulic throttle no matter what the setting was 1-6 they all felt the same and very weak so I sent it back for a refund. I wanted the p2000 but you can’t invert them and I heard a lot of problems with them. The p1000 are there replacement and the pedals they plan to keep improving they have no plans for the p2000s from what I hear.
@@SIMRIG412 Great stuff! Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I heard the same from them that they will not improve on the P2000 anymore. Ok thanks👍
@@TJRSIMno problem. I always enjoy your videos
@@SIMRIG412 can you connect the CAM bus to the P1000, then to PC? Trying to figure out how everything gets powered and how to connect to PC with as few of connections as possible
Love mine also have the haptic motor on it. Had it since last Christmas and I love it so far.
Thanks for watching. Let me know your thoughts on the handbrake? Is it worth the $$?
The only reason Im NOT going to buy this, is because the "throw" or the lenght of the stick is WAAY too long for my personal taste.. and unfortunately I don't see any way of modding this really... What a missed opportunity by simagic..
Hey mate have you ever had the problem where you can shift down I have a 4 week shifter and the software doesn't recognise shifting down anymore just up
Hey thanks for the question. Actually no I haven’t seen that. Does it register with your pc controller? Not just the simpro manager? I’m assuming you are saying it not registering with the Sim Pro manager software? Have you recently add new usb devices to your pc? Sometime this will cause weird issues like that. You can also try plugging it straight into the pc USB to test it out of you are using a usb hub atm. Also can go into windows software and select the controller USB as priority. I forget the menu would need to google that one again. Hope this helps man. If not feel out a repair ticket on their Discord page.
@@TJRSIM so it reads the device in the software and was working fine but the other day I was racing and it just stopped gearing down only up. I haven't added anything new I even switched the motherboard part in the middle wasn't that.
Nice review as always. Not a fan of the 7th and 8th gear lockout. I like the feature for reverse, but not for the higher gears. 8th would be fine, but some Porsches, Corvette, etc. do have cars that are 7 speed manuals, and don't want to have to pull up for that.
Totally agree
I ended up buying the Simagic Alpha , which is all I need. I drove the Simucube 2 Sport it was good but didn't want to spend that much. What shocked me was the Logitech G PRO. My friend bought a open box one for $700. The force feedback was shocking good!!
How much of an improvement is the alphaU over the Accuforce? Been using an AF V1 for a few years now, debating whether to upgrade to the alphaU or SC2 Pro. Mostly for IRacing and AC
I would say there is a pretty big difference. You know in th AF when you have your clipping correct and force turned up to what you like. Then at times under load in a turn the AF jitters like it lost signal and regained it within 1 sec, but it’s this harsh feel? The Alpha U doesn’t do that at all. The Alpha U is also much stronger for sims that don’t offer enough clear “no clipping” ffb detail. The Alpha U seems to get it done with ease. The FFB is very smooth and forceful, but with the little vibrations not just the big jolts. So the smoothness is felt when contacting the surface textures like in WRC games for worst case example. The AF in WRC feels like noise and just disconnected from the roads gravel surface where the Alpha U feels like I can feel myself pushing rocks around with the tires. So this translate very well to games like Iracing that suffer (well it used to suffer I have not played it in 2 years) with feel across pavement and edge of grip. I’m actually surprised on how much better the Alpha U feels over my AF. Not only the power increase is just great for those weaker games l, but the clarity of the signal. I was a huge AF fan and didn’t think any of these latest wheels would have been a big game changer, but I was wrong. I at first got it to review for the channel and to experience the new fad of FFB wheel bases. To my surprise I will not sale the Simagic Alpha U now and go back to my Accuforce. I hope this helps. I don’t do reviews to get people to use my affiliate links I do them because I’m generally interested in the product and curious if all the other RUclipsrs that get them for free are really swayed by a shiny new free product or legitimately give us honest reviews. That’s why I do this channel. To help everyone I can. Have fun.
@@TJRSIM very much appreciate your thorough reply. The mid-corner jitter you describe drives me bananas. I was doing some laps earlier with a high downforce car (Radical SR10 @ Sebring) and for those cars I just don't have enough dynamic range. I imagine the slew rate would be better as well and handle heavier wheels better on the AlphaU. Have used the SC2 a couple times on demo rigs and they felt much stronger, but maybe a bit over-damped? Not sure since FFB is kind of subjective and I wasnt messing with any settings, other than overall force. Anyway - will give the Simagic a shot. Thanks again!
I agree the simagic L bracket sucks! I have there hydraulic handbrake mounted to one and it always flex’s!
I have this shifter for about 10months now and I love it! I’m not h pattern pro though so it definitely is amazing for me and it’s build like a tank and the feeling is amazing and it’s not to loud which is nice! But I also can’t complain being I bought mine off eBay listed as open box and I got it and it had a chip in the side and was mounted. So I said something to the seller and he said just keep it and refunded me fully so mine was completely free. But even if I spent the money it’s definitely the best shifter for the price or under this price point.
Yes, I'm on my second Fanatec shifter And I know the sequential part of it isn't built that well either and will break eventually. For me this Simagic Shifter is the one I've had my eye on... It's the best bang for the buck out there.. Like you, I really can't reason spending three times this price at the moment.
This simagic shifter is awesome I own one for almost a year and I love it
You gotta pick up either the fx pro or the fx to keep 😉 you will absolutely love either. I suggest the fx if you can live withiut a screen. The shifters, grips and quality are amazing. The fx has an all alu back with real cf front plate real cf paddle shifters very much so positive feeling in click. The fx pro has an entirely full cf body real cf with cf paddles sane clicky positive feeling shifters and a screen. I own the fx pro and the gt neo. I want to get the fx next just to have a wheel more the length of the fx pro but not as tall. So ill have a mix of everything lol. You wouldnt regret any of them! Fx costs a bit less then the fx pro also I feel its very much worth the price of the fx. Such good wheels man.
@@reviewforthetube6485 I have been eyeing the FX Pro for sure. I also need a Simagic rally wheel so I’m thinking the GTS for that duty.
Simagic DS-8X Shifter Review: Another solid offering from Simagic. It's better than Ithought it would be. Not for the hardcore H-pattern lovers, but for the hobbiest that likes to row some gears for fun! LEave your comments and questions below. I like to help 👍 New: Hey gang: If you need extra aluminium profile see Trak Racer. trakracer.com/?ref=mpPrj008KJcoh- I just ordered some myself to mount the shifters up more solidly. 👌 Also thanks for using my affiliate link. 🤙
Do you plan on opening it up to see if you can mod it at all?
@SIMRIG412 not sure yet. I might after I get thru some of my other product reviews.
My favorite wheelbase on planrt earth. This and simucube are the two best wheelbases ive ever used. What sets the simagic apart for me is the feeling of loading and uloqding with the suspension and the snap or feeling of edge of grip. Simagic is the only wheelbase ive used where i feel like i can ride the edge of grip at maximum level and i can push it past that linit if i want to and can feel that edge and then boom catch it right when the rear gets loose the wheelbase reacts to it without any latency. Even asetek has slightly more time when it comes to loss of grip. Its just enough to notice it.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Thats interesting that Asetek is a slight delay considering its more or less a Simcube with LEDS. Like you, I will try them all eventually though and I can''t fathum needing anymore than the Simagic Ultimate for reaction time and strength wiyhin the reaction time. 👍 I'm totally amazed about this wheel base making me want to invest more into their ecosystem, which I have not felt that since the old Fanatec Clubsport belt drive back in the day before DD wheels. lol
Thats funny you said that haha. When i first came to dd i wasnt blown away. if anything i didnt get the hype because the cswv2.5 belt driven wheel was so damn good. It took me a high nm qheelbase like simagic to make me realize why dd was so good. I will say the dd+ from fanatec is the closest second to this simagic wheelbase ive used. People can knock fanatec but the new dd+ is fantastic imo slightly better then asetek believe it or not especially in things like acc. But yeah man simagic just has a special smooth clean feel. Like 0 notchess which is rare even for dd people act like there is none but they all usually have it especially when not in game. But sinagic doesnt. Only time simagic does is when off and thats not notches thats the motor turning on and off the green light flashes where its holdjng power so the power comes on and off making it feel like notches but it isnt. Luckily when in as you see there is none wether in or out of game. Def special@TJRSIM
Im positive this will help some people out for sure! Its funny my settings are identical but I do use road effects at 5 or 10 in game. I also in our software go to the other effects section top right. I click that and turned all of those off. It further increased the suspension feel and loading/unloading that nice bounce and even helped the snap more for corrections! Thats the only difference. Everything is identical to yours other then that. So love the settings!
Thanks for sharing. I actually have the same too. I forgot to show the other options though. Darn it. lol I'll add that note in the pin. My in game is no road effects either. It takes out all the high frequency with this off which then don't require smoothing. 👍
Makes sense because im a weirdo I like those frequencies qnd qdded noises and weied vibration at high speeds. Like I thought I didn't at first but I adapted to it. Then when I tried drowning it out I actuallt missed it haha I'm weird what can I say none of that stuff bothers me I guess. I know many it does! @TJRSIM
@@reviewforthetube6485 No judging from me. FFB is so subjective. I used to like it as well. Especially with less detailed wheelbases.
FFB settings for ACC in game and Simpro Manager! Let me know how you like it and share your settings 👍 Additional Setting under Simpro Manager Other Effects: Turn all off from default 100 for enhanced feeling. 👍
I love mine. There is 1 truely special thing about it that I haven't been able to relicate with any other base. The suspension feel ans correction to loss of grip. The snap man oh man. Idc what any company says there slew rate is the speed of the simagic wheelbase is special for sure. To me the most important thing in sim racing is feeling the weight transfer of the car and the loss of grip that's the 2 things that are most important and that's where simagic is most special. Also I can't imagine anybody wanting more detail the ultimate details are so intense it can shake my rig lol. Like I can feel it throughout very potent when they come through. Love it! Simagic has made massive massive gains in software over the years making this wheelbase feel 10x better then it ever has before. It's very very clear where simagic placed there time and they made the best choices imo for racers. It's why I hate reviews from people like will who only ever talks about curbs and details like that he never talks about the loading and unloading of a wheelbase, the suspension, tire slip and more. Its like dude all of these bases have details now the most important parts aren't being covered lol. Thank you for bringing up these things like edge of grip because that is the magic of simagic.
Thanks for sharing. I agree 💯 I really don’t think I would feel much more with say the Asetek wheelbase over this one. I really don’t need to either. Plus this eco system has it all. Very quality shifters IMO and handbrakes and pedals. Really the complete package, but catered to enthusiasts not entry level sim racers. 👍
This game is a woke mess. But nice video
Simagic SimPro Manager FFB Forza Motorsport 2023. These work as good as I could get it for this simcad. Makes it fun for me at least. Share your settings for others to try 👍
which options do you use for ASSETTO CORSA?
@@grzegorzjur1765 I don’t play AC that much anymore. However I did some testing for an hour yesterday and have some that feel good to me. I’ll make a vid today about it. Will be short and to the point for people to check out.
@@TJRSIM I will have a big request if you test Ac and see what's good there for ULTIMATE let me know I'll be waiting :) Regards
Just on the pedals...if you have a local hardware store, the pedals can be adjusted infinitely. You don't have to buy logitech branded springs and polymer bushings
@@DontForgetOldKolobok that’s true. I thought of going by a hobby shop to pick up different RC springs to play with. Thanks for sharing
hello, which options will be best for ASSETTO CORSA? could you let me know thank you Cheers :) and I will add that great job! :) 🙌
I'm ordering the G pro in just under a week , getting the full bundle from Logitech 2-3 days free shipping and free gloves , and got pedal upgrades coming from 3DRap also
3DRap has upgrade kits for the G Pro and they are making a wheel for it too
The only problem with your pedals put into simagic extender is that you can’t use the haptics on the pedals in simhub! The really only advantage of the hub is for a game like ATS or ETS
I’m with you on the whole Forza stuff. I just really enjoy the laid back racing sometimes when I’m not in the mood for the safety rating/irating grind 😂
@@Jpilgrim30 right. Just slinging cars around, drifting thru corners or building up the old car you wish you owned. 👍
I just grabbed the sim lab front mount setup for my alpha u and I got the haptic pedal reactors and adapters to mount them to my sprint pedals. Need to get that stuff hooked up soon as I think the pedal reactors will be a great upgrade for immersion as well as just helping with braking overall.
They definitely are! Have 3 on my p1000s and 1 on my simagic hydraulic handbrake. Also thinking about getting 2 more haptic motors for my second rig with moza srp pedals
Love my simagic alpha. And love the software. My second rig has a moza r12 I also love there software it’s nice and easy
@@SIMRIG412 Great feedback. I want to review the Moza R21 especially since they came out with that new wheel. Of course you can use that wheel on Simagic also which is cool
@@TJRSIM yes that is nice it is able to be used on other bases. I don’t like the new wheel that much especially for $750 but I’m not going to act like I’ve never owned an $1100 wheel from cube controls. But I would rather buy the ks or gs wheel for my r12. But that is just my opinion. And the r21 would be nice to try. The r12 is powerful at least for me.
Supposedly 360hz is now in iracing for simagic also now
@@SIMRIG412 oh nice! Thanks for the info
@@TJRSIMI just seen it in Simagic discord. Notification popped up.
Yup, some notable differences. A big one is that "Feedback Frequency" is disabled when 360hz is active for iRacing. That is the default assuming iRacing, SimPro and the wheelbase firmware are all up to date. Aside from that, Simagic has offered two suggested profiles in their Facebook & Instagram pages, so those are worth a look.

Related to firmware, my experience lately shows that SimPro prompts you with a large window and message about the fact that there is a newer firmware option available. You can Update or Cancel at that point as is appropriate. I do agree that some flag in the main screen could be nice, but they seem to have a very large alert upon opening which I think covers that need well at present.
Welcome aboard the Alpha U train! I subscribed to your channel several years ago when I got an Accuforce V2 and found your stuff helpful but I swapped to the Alpha U a little over a year ago and LOVE it! This thing is a powerhouse and felt great day one but has gotten even better with updates over time.

i would like to know as well keep us updated, Gratz bro
For some reason I am having issues dialing in the feel of losing the front end. It doesn't seem to lighten up as much as it did on the Accuforce. Any suggestions?
@@bobboberton1841 Not know your setting it may be hard to tell. But I would recommend turning off Mechanical damper, friction and inertia. Then make sure wheel rotation speed is 100. These all will slow down the wheel rotation. Then turn up feedback detail to max but leave smoothness to zero until you feel the front sliding and can identify it doing that. Then you can then turn up smoothness to suite your desire depending on the sim your playing you may not need smoothness up.
Wow thanks. Please post the same on other social groups if you can... it seems a lot of folks don't realize how deep the software goes relative to others. This makes a huge difference.
Would love a video on the software configuration setup. The one you did for sim commander was fantastic.
@@bobboberton1841 thanks man. Yeap I’ll creat one. Hopefully it will help
Is a full review coming? I have always enjoyed your videos. The ones you did for SimCommander was in a leage of its own.
@@bobboberton1841 ahh thanks man. Yeah here is the full review. I think you seen it though. 👍 ruclips.net/video/htvyN272WtM/видео.htmlsi=JzzveKfLQHjVUD2u Will also do a deep dive on the software to.
Just replaced my Accuforce with the Alpha U, and i was also surprised how much smaller it looked then what I had seen in reviews. I am still trying to get it dialed in. Spoiled on the Sim Commander cloud profile doing all the work for me.
Hey sim racers. Leave your comments and/or questions below. I really do think this might be one of the best wheel bases for the money ATM on the market. Feel free to check them out at your favorite dealer i my affiliate linktree links here: linktr.ee/tjrsim Thanks for helping the channel🤙
So those pedals have a transducer as well?
@@B-kn8yb not the pedals. Only the wheel base. But it will shake the rig enough to feel down to the pedals at times
